Tips from Tech: Clearing Bounds

Sometimes when your guidance lines and mapping data aren’t showing up on your screen, the solution may be as simple as clearing bounds. The clear bounds button can be used to fix issues when you have flyer points. Flyer points are instances of logged data when you have instances of logged data several miles apart. By Chandra B. Singh, Ph.D., P.Eng. and Ron Larson, M.Sc.,P.Eng.

You may have dried and cooled your grain for safe winter storage; however, the spoilage risk for stored grain increases as we move towards warmer weather and summer. Tips from Tech: Mapping Screen Icon Flip

Forward direction of travel is established after the customer gets a GPS fix and is based on initial direction of travel after the first event is loaded to the mapping screen. If a customer travels backward first, the system will think that is the forward direction. Then, when the customer does travel in a forward direction, the vehicle icon on the mapping screen will flip directions, making the icon seem like it is backwards.

If the vehicle icon on the mapping screen does this, the heading change button can be pressed to flip the icon in the correct direction of travel. The button can be found in the lower left corner of the mapping screen when in full screen mode. To get full screen view, tap the center of the mapping screen to hide the menus.
