What is a Planter Performance Report? That’s a great question! Not all planters are created equal, and even the planters that are made the same may not have the same amount of wear on them. As you travel across the field with your planter, some rows naturally have a harder life than others – the outside rows might be in unfavorable conditions planting, and depending on the terrain that you have, some of the middle rows near flex points on the toolbar can have odd forces applied to them. The reality is that there is a lot more going on with a planter than we think when we dive in and take a closer look, which is exactly what the Planter Performance Report does!
Several universities have cited data showing a drop in yield with each percentage point reduction of singulation. A 2-3% reduction in singulation could be costing you as much as $30-$45 per acre! This is a simple way to make sure that you are getting the most out of every acre, ensuring peak performance of that critical planting pass.
This report will identify issues with specific rows, as well as give you a report card for how well your planter did overall for the season.
